What has the liver got to do with the thyroid?
The liver is our primary detox organ. Environmental & dietary toxins are stored in body tissues, fat and organs where they can build up. The liver can be overwhelmed in thyroid disease due to nutrient deficiencies and an impaired gut barrier. Thyroid disease worsens the situation due to decreased sweating, which is another way our thyroid detoxes.
It’s important to support the liver to support healing, but not to overwhelm it in a forceful way.

Dairy alternatives include coconut milk (carton and tin), almond milk, cashew milk, hazelnut milk, coconut oil, olive oil, coconut yoghurt, almond yoghurt and coconut kefir. Milk kefir and ghee can be an exception.
Sugar replacements include Stevia, Xylitol, Maple Syrup and raw honey in moderation!
