The Time to Thrive programme is simply the best. Who is the plan for?

The plan is for busy woman and mums who are tired of dieting and feeling miserable but really want to lose weight and feel better about themselves. If you just want a plan to follow that is tailored to your needs, has delicious recipes and need someone to guide you through, then the plan is for you. If you are tired of being either on a diet or off a diet and feeling like you are a failure, this plan is for you. If you feel like now is time for you to look after yourself and look and feel great, then this plan is for you.

I have tried so many diets and I feel at my age that my weight won’t shift, how is this plan different?

The great thing about this plan is how it’s tailored for each person so that their calories aren’t set too low and their macros are split between those calories. There are no foods off the table, therefore reducing cravings. The diet is equally split between the right macros to ensure that your body is fuelled, therefore not leaving you feeling deprived. The plan also includes support from a professional trained in the area with a MSc in Nutrition, but has done the plan herself so can relate on a personal level.

I go to the gym regularly but still feel like I need to look at my nutrition as I have stubborn belly fat, would this plan help me?

Yes, each recipe has a tailored version around your exercise to aid lean muscle mass and fat loss. So this plan would suit perfectly along with your regular gym sessions.

Is this only a nutrition plan or is exercise included in it?

The plan currently includes 3 home workouts (upper body, lower body and HIIT) and a bonus which you can use if you wish.

I am very unfit and don’t have the confidence to attend classes or go to the gym, how will the plan help me?

Exercise will definitely help weight loss but classes and the gym don’t suit everyone for various reasons. There are bonus exercise videos which I encourage the members to do, however the plan will work around your activity levels, no matter how little or how much you are doing. When you sign up you commit to a number or steps and exercise sessions a week. Some members may only commit to walking and may only be able to do 4000 steps which is fine too. At the beginning you can allow the plan to work for you, not the other way around.

How does the plan work?

I base your personalised plan around your own individual needs and circumstances. Details such as your age, gender, weight, height, step count and exercise all help me calculate the right calories for you. Those calories are then divided between your meals and populated into the recipes. This takes the guess work out and means you don’t have to second guess if what you are doing is right. I will also provide ongoing professional support to you that will helps you reach your goals.

Is this a keto diet?

No, it does not remove any food or food group. You can adjust it to dairy and gluten free if required but it promotes inclusivity not exclusivity. This allows it to be more sustainable for many as it incorporates family friendly meals and the ability to socialise without any awkwardness.

Can I still eat the things I enjoy on the plan?

The recipes include a variety of potato, pasta, rice, chicken, beef, fish, pork, vegetarian and vegan dishes. No food is off limit. The plan also allows for snacks and while I offer snack suggestions you can use those additional calories however you choose. This allows for flexibility to still have some chocolate or wine on certain days and that’s why it makes it easier to stick to. This works really well because you can fit in treats and chocolates and still see results. The recipes are nutritionally balanced to ensure you get the correct balance of macro and micro nutrients and enjoy the food too.

Is the plan suitable for someone who eats a plant based diet?

Yes, the plan is suitable for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans and there are a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes to choose from to suit your needs.

What kind of results can I expect in 6 weeks?

This really depends on each individual. You will lose weight and slim down, however everyone will respond differently. For example if you have a lot of weight to lose you will lose more but may want to continue longer with an adjusted version of the plan every 6 weeks or so. For others who don’t have too much to lose, but want to reduce their body fat and change their shape it can be seen more in their clothes and measurements and they may lose less because they don’t have as much to lose. Aside from the weight loss, you can expect feeling satisfied, increased confidence and a more mindful approach to food.

Does the plan include supplement recommendations?

The plan includes a supplement guide, however each person has individual needs and requirements and may need a tailored supplement plan, which is not included. The guide will give a comprehensive overview of certain supplements that you may want to consider if you are experiencing certain symptoms or are at a particular life stage where specific areas need additional support such as hormones and stress.

I am in my 40’s and need a plan to support me as I think I am peri-menopausal, is this plan for me?

The plan is primarily for woman in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s and will help you manage the transition from menstruation, peri-menopause and menopause. Research shows that being a healthy weight, together with improved fitness all goes a long way in helping woman to be healthy during these hormonal changes.
